To Be or Not Two Be?

People love four wheels and going fast, but what happens when you transfer that love to two wheels? As an avid rider of these two wheeled beasts that many people dislike and fear I have become very familiar with this love over time.  There’s more to bikes than just the thrill of going fast; you can do wheelies, fly bys, or just cruise and let the wind flow around you. For most riders this is all they do with their bikes, it’s a toy in which to have fun with, not a daily commuter although they are very practical vehicles. Bikes can get great gas mileage and they are small so they can fit into places cars can’t go. Here’s an added bonus, they don’t have as many parts as a car so the repair bills for them are next to nothing. But then you also have the downside of owning a bike, the danger.

I think one of the best phrases I ever heard came from a member of Adrenaline Crew, he said to me “ If you’re not willing to accept death at any moment in time, you shouldn’t be here.” It might be a cold hard fact  but what we ride is not wrapped in a bubble of sheet metal and airbags. The only sheet metal that you will be meeting is when granny decides to go for a stroll down to the grocery store and slams into you changing lanes. That’s the worst of the downsides but then you have to consider the weather to; rain, cold, or even the heat, no air conditioning on a bike. So do you really want to ride a  or are you afraid?  If your a true fan of them then you can see past this article and accept the risk. Trust me there are other people out there that understand your thoughts and feelings of this crazy machine!
